The 15th March of Remembrance in Warsaw. On the 84th anniversary of the Grossaktion, the Jewish Historical Institute will pay tribute to the women of the Warsaw ghetto.
At 6 p.m. on 22 July 2026, the 15th edition of the March of Remembrance organised by the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute will set out from the Umschlagplatz Monument in Warsaw. On the 84th anniversary of the start of the Great Deportation (Ger. Grossaktion) – a German operation in which Jews from the Warsaw ghetto were mass deported to the Treblinka II death camp – the participants of the March will walk a symbolic route “from death to life”. They will honour the memory of the nearly 300,000 victims from the Warsaw ghetto murdered during the Grossaktion.
