The festival is now entering its second day, and the audience took in an eclectic array of music genres - from the best homegrown melodic death metal and metal music and that particular Polish genre of ironic metal music to top international stadium tour headliners such as Prophets of Rage or Testament.

It seems, however, it was Krzysztof Zalewski's performance that left the audience spell-bound and one newlywed couple - gasping for air from glee. The winner of the Polish Idol competition grew to be one of the more exciting artists of the Polish thriving alt-pop scene. 2019 marks the second time that the artist appears at the festival - he performed on the smaller Second Stage in the previous year. Since then, his popularity has skyrocketed, and this time, he prepared a set of his most popular hits with a special tribute to Kora - one of the most influential rock singer-songwriters in Poland. After the encore, the promoter of the festival invited a newlywed couple to join them on stage. The joy coming from the stage was shared by the massive festival crowd.

What followed was an array of fantastic heavy metal giants: Testament opening the pack, followed by the monstrous performance by Lordi and culminated by a shattering gig by Prophets of Rage. The band is led by Tom Morello, who has been ranked as 40th best guitarist of All Time by The Rolling Stones. Prophets of Rage delivered their signature eclectic blend of high energy hip-hop samples and thundering blasts of Morello's double-necked guitar. It seems it was a match made in festival heaven. A socially engaged band, whose raison d'etre is to take a stance against oppression, racism and to defend freedom performs for a massive crowd at a festival, which is synonymous with freedom.
