22nd Woodstock Festival Poland stands with all those affected by the tragic events in Nice yesterday.

As La Marseillaise sounded from the Main Stage, the audience, gathered in front of it, raised the red, white, and blue sheets of paper to create a French national flag. It took 120 thousand sheets of paper to create the tricolor flag. Jurek Owsiak, the mastermind, director, and the promoter of the festival said:

We would like to address what has happened in Nice. We won't let anything come between us – we can't build barriers, fences, and dig out trenches. We have to change something in our heads, our minds. It needs to happen all over the world. They way the politicians think, needs to change, first of all. They have to begin making changes. Violence creates even more violence, and you can't achieve anything good if you step on the path of violence. We need to change the way we look at people and their views, we need to change the way we think about religion. What we need to do – we need to respect one-another. Today we stand together with those, who nurse a huge pain in their hearts, those, who suffered a great loss. We stand together with those, who have lost their loved ones to violence, to intolerance, to hatred. We can't fight violence with violence. Peace is the key. Show that this place is all about peace, show that we stand for peace here, together, at the Most Beautiful Festival in the World!

Without any doubt it was one of the most touching and emotional moments in the 22 year history of Woodstock Festival Poland.
